Tec-Sem’s proprietary technology used in wafer- and reticle- (photo-masks) stockers, which are sold directly to semiconductor manufacturers, is characterized by an ultra-dense, highly cost-effective storage methodology in which wafers and reticles are stored "bare" rather than in carriers, making Tec-Sem AG the leading supplier of these systems worldwide. Tec-Sem AG's tool OEM solutions focus primarily on batch handling and tool buffer requirements of high-throughput process tools like wet benches and furnaces. Tec-Sem AG's installed base of wafer and reticle management systems are increasing the efficiency and throughput in several our semiconductor fabs around the world. Tool buffers and batch handling systems are also installed in several dozen 300mm tools. The company is ISO9001 certified.

Tec-Sem AG, founded in 1981 by Jakob Blattner in Switzerland, is one of the pioneers in clean room automation. The company was strongly involved during the conversion from 6" to 8"-wafer processing in 1986, by providing cleanroom-class1-compliant wafer handling and transfer systems to be integrated into Semiconductor process equipment.
