Tec-Sem’s Wafer Management System “Practor” wins Best Product Award 2009

Tec-Sem announced today that they have received the prestigious Editor’s Choice Best Product Award by Semiconductor International for their 300 mm Wafer Management System “Practor”. Only the best products were nominated by users in an annual contest hosted by Semiconductor International magazine. In addition, further inputs are collected for each product to verify that each one has successfully shown superior performance in semiconductor manufacturing. The prestigious award was announced at Semicon West 2009 in San Francisco yesterday. “We are extremely proud that Practor won the 2009 award”, says Tec-Sem’s CEO Franz Zaugg, “ It shows that Tec-Sem’s focus on highly innovative products, combined with their great performance and Tec-Sem’s outstanding customer support, gets the appropriate recognition. It recompenses us for our missionary zeal.”
“Practor” offers a total solution to reduce the inventory and consumption of Non-productive 300 mm wafers (NPW), while providing a high storage density under N2/xCDA environment, combined with its efficient sort and merge capability. Practor also provides a dynamic category management, which tracks every wafer and reports to the Fab-MES, enhancing the efficiency of the entire Wafer-Fab.
